Job Title: Automotive Service Manager

Location: Virginia (On-Site at My Car Corporation)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $60,000 to $120K

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Manager who can lead our service department to new levels of efficiency and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Department Leadership:
    Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring timely and efficient vehicle servicing and repair work.
  • Team Management:
    Recruit, train, and mentor technicians and service advisors. Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.
  • Quality Control:
    Monitor work quality, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  • Customer Relations:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for customer concerns and feedback; maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Budget and Inventory Management:
    Manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and oversee the ordering and management of parts and supplies.
  • Process Improvement:
    Analyze service workflows and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce cycle times, and boost profitability.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    Maintain detailed records, prepare performance reports, and communicate effectively with management on departmental metrics and operational challenges.


Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automotive service environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Technical Expertise:
    In-depth knowledge of automotive repair, diagnostics, and service procedures. ASE certifications or equivalent credentials are highly preferred.
  • Leadership & Communication:
    Proven leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Ability to analyze and resolve operational issues, manage conflict, and implement effective solutions.
  • Organizational Skills:
    Strong planning, organizational, and budgeting skills; experience with modern diagnostic tools and service management software is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    Familiarity with local market conditions and customer expectations in Virginia, ensuring that service standards meet regional benchmarks.
