Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a **Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Engineer II** at the **Grand Rapids, Michigan** office to perform routine, in-depth, and fracture critical inspections. Inspections may include use of snooper trucks, bucket trucks, boats, and/or man lifts. Inspections will require in-state and out-of-state travel. This opportunity can include bridge design and construction work and the ability to complete design related tasks with a clear understanding of Michigan DOT, regional and municipal standards is applicable to the responsibilities of this position. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. * Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. * Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. * Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. * Identifies discrepancies in results. * Provides guidance to entry level engineers. * Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + BA/BS + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Valid Drivers license. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 2+ years' experience of bridge inspection and/or bridge design experience + Engineer in Training (EIT). + PE highly preferred + Certified Bridge Inspector/Team Leader status in at least 1 state + AASHTOWare Bridge Rating (BrR) experience + FHWA-NHI-130055 or 130056 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Certification + FHWA-NHI-130078 NSTM Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges Certification + FHWA-NHI-130110 Tunnel Safety Inspection Certification + Experience operating snooper trucks, bucket trucks, and man lifts **Additional Information** + All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. + AECOM is interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States.
