About these Opportunities: 7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for 2024 Summer Internships. Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (10-12 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to work closely with our 7NOW delivery business and gain hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and deriving actionable insights. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making processes for 7-Eleven 7NOW delivery business. The intern will be responsible for digging into the data to help answer specific questions posed by the 7NOW delivery business (e.g., promotion analysis, customer retention analysis, etc.)
Key Responsibilities: - Obtain a deeper understanding of the question and the problem being solved and formulate a hypothesis based on the objective.
- Develop a structured approach to test and validate hypothesis through data analysis.
- Apply statistical techniques to conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Based off the business objective at hand, conduct scenario analysis to assess the potential impact of various business decisions.
- Document the entire analysis process, including methodologies, assumptions, and limitations.
- Prepare clear and concise presentation outlining key findings, insights and actionable recommendations.
- Communicate analysis results and recommendations to the team and gather feedback and refine recommendations as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: - Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in SQL / R /Python.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; experience in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as part of a team, and eager to learn and adapt to a fast - paced environment.
- Should be pursuing Masters in Data/Business Analytics or related field.
