Job Description

At Vitamin Well Group, we provide healthier and better tasting drinks, snacks, and protein products.  Vitamin Well made its debut in the US market in 2019, initially introducing the NOCCO Performance Drink, followed by the launch of Barebells in 2020. Since then, the company has witnessed remarkable growth, with its products now widely available across the country in various gyms, gas stations, and grocery stores, including well-known chains such as Trader Joe's, Walmart, 7 Eleven, and numerous others. Our team is characterized by its high level of engagement, agility, and a shared passion for ensuring our bran ds become a staple in households across the US. 

The US market has rapidly emerged as having one of the most significant volume increases across our markets. In response to this success, we have developed and launched products specifically designed to meet the unique preferences and needs of the US consumer.

 

The position:

The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving strategic financial planning and business partnering across Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams. In partnership with stakeholders, this individual will provide actionable financial insights aimed at maximizing revenue and profitability, supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes, and will provide guidance and insights to help drive key business decisions. The position reports directly to Head of Finance and is based at our office in Los Angeles. 

 

Core Responsibilities Include: 

STRATEGIC FINANCIAL PLANNING & BUSINESS PARTNERING
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams, providing actionable insights to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic business decisions.

REVENUE & MARGIN OPTIMIZATION
  • Analyze pricing strategies, trade spend efficiency, and promotional ROI to improve gross margin.
  • Identify and recommend margin optimization initiatives by evaluating product, channel, and customer profitability.
  • Work with Sales & Marketing to align pricing strategies with market trends and competitive positioning.

TRADE SPEND & COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGEMENT
  • Oversee trade spend budgets, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of promotional investments.
  • Lead trade spend analysis to assess ROI, detect inefficiencies, and drive cost optimization strategies.
  • Ensure proper financial controls over trade promotions, working with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams to validate deductions and promotional payments.

FINANCIAL REPORTING & PERFORMANCE ANALYTICS
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking to provide real-time visibility into business performance.
  • Deliver monthly financial reviews and variance analysis to senior leadership, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Support decision-making by presenting data-driven insights on revenue trends, trade promotions, and profitability levers.

SYSTEMS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
  • Manage and optimize Trade Promotion Management (TPM) tools (e.g., Vividly) for accurate forecasting and spend tracking.
  • Improve finance automation, reporting processes, and cross-functional workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Train key stakeholders on best practices in trade finance management and financial reporting.

 

Skills and Qualifications Desired:

Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Revenue Management, or Trade Promotion Finance.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food & Beverage, or Retail industries is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of business partnering with Sales & Marketing teams to drive profitable growth.
  • Hands-on experience managing P&L, trade spend, and financial planning for promotions and pricing.
  • Experience in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
Technical & Financial Skills:
  • P&L Management & Revenue Optimization – Ability to analyze sales, pricing, trade spend, and promotions to enhance profitability.
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting – Proficiency in scenario analysis, pricing models, and long-term financial planning.
  • Trade Spend & Promotion Management – Deep understanding of Trade Promotion Management (TPM) tools (e.g., Vividly, Anaplan, SAP TPM).
  • Data Analytics & Visualization – Strong skills in Excel (advanced), Power BI, Tableau, or other financial reporting tools.
  • ERP & Financial Systems – Experience with Dynamics 365, SAP, NetSuite, or other ERP systems for finance automation.
Business Partnering & Leadership Skills:
  • Strategic Decision Support – Ability to provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and commercial teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Experience working with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align financial goals with business strategy.
  • Communication & Presentation – Strong ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving & Process Improvement – Ability to streamline financial workflows, optimize trade spend management, and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Leadership & Influence – Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, driving financial accountability across teams.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • An MBA or professional finance qualification (CFA, CIMA, ACCA) is a plus.
