Location: 100% remote but onsite 1week in a quarter in Cleveland,OH

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and DB2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications in a high-volume transaction processing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Write and execute JCL scripts for batch processing and job scheduling.
• Work with VSAM datasets, optimizing file management and processing.
• Develop and support CICS online transaction processing applications.
• Design, optimize, and maintain databases using DB2, including writing complex SQL queries.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot application issues to ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide production support and resolve any issues efficiently.
• Participate in performance tuning and system enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and DB2 development.
• Strong understanding of mainframe batch and online processing.
• Hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and mainframe debugging tools.
• Experience in SQL query optimization and working with DB2 stored procedures.
• Knowledge of mainframe utilities such as IDCAMS, IEBGENER, and DFSORT.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
