Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients to define project requirements, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to execute HVAC projects.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule.

Resource Management

  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services for HVAC installations.
  • Track inventory and manage suppliers and subcontractors for timely delivery of resources.
  • Monitor labor and resource usage to stay within the project’s budget.

Budget and Financial Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets and ensure that the project stays within financial parameters.
  • Report and walk through monthly cost / WIP reports with the business President.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Inspect HVAC installations to ensure they meet design specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Ensure timely resolution of any design or installation issues that arise during the project.

Post-Project Handover

  • Oversee the commissioning and testing of HVAC systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage project close-out, including final inspections, documentation, and handover to clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC project management experience. No chilled water experience required; however, DX, basic HVAC controls and a full understanding of mechanical design is required. Experience in mechanical take-offs and material/equipment acquisition required.
  • VRF Systems and experience in Education, Healthcare, and/or industrial markets preferred.
  • Experience using all Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Blue Beam or PDF editing software (equivalent) experience is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work in a team environment consisting of several project administrative staff employees.
  • Oversee 3-7 projects at a time depending on contract value.
