TruEnergy Federal Credit Union, a $126+ million Credit Union in Springfield, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated Loan Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for originating consumer loans, interviewing applicants by phone or in person, ordering credit reports, and providing applicants with loan decisions. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively represent the credit union and assist members with their lending needs.

Requirements :

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

-Some college level courses in accounting, lending, and/or business preferred.

- Minimum one (1) year lending experience in a financial institution preferred; previous MSR/Loan support experience desirable

- Previous credit training preferred

- PC proficient including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: CRT, PC, fax, copier, telephone, postage machine, etc.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and determine eligibility based on underwriting guidelines.
• Communicate with members to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
• Process loan applications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination and processing stages.
• Conduct credit analysis and assess risk factors to make informed lending decisions.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline loan processing and meet deadlines.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
