What you'll bring to the team MASTER MODEL BUILDER Qualifications & Experience Job Summary: The Master Model Builders (MMB) create joy first, LEGO models second. The Master Model Builder is a guest facing role
that is crucial to the LEGO experience by proactively inspiring guests to create interesting and imaginative builds. The
MMB consistently Champions guest engagement and a shared build experience, giving the guests the opportunity to
interact directly with a Model Builder. The MMB will also offer, and lead workshops involving different levels of
challenge/complexity to broaden the appeal and inspire the builders of today (and tomorrow!).

• Can clearly and confidently explain builds/design process.
• Genuine enthusiasm for our Attractions and LEGO products that inspires others.
• Comfortable on camera with TV, social media, and other forms of PR.
• Able to build effective working partnerships with Marketing, Brand, PR & Operations.
• Approaches “play” from a child’s perspective
• Understands nuance between speaking to children at different age ranges.
• Can talk to kids on their level, without condescension.
• Eye contact, get on their level, energy matching.
• Growth Mindset / Humility
• Emphasizes the process in which we can improve; desire to share that journey with kids (and adults!)
• Hobbyist Mentality
• Can see a project through from idea to finished, polished, product and be wholly responsibly for all parts

• Spatial Art Skills
• Sculpture, 3D modeling, Costume Design, Set Design, etc.

Master Model Builder
Job Description
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED. Must be passionate about delivering exceptional guest service, have a creative flair
and the ability to create and maintain exciting LEGO Models and be able to adapt their approach to suit the model
brief and audience.
Licenses and Certifications
Ability to obtain related licensures or certification as may be required to perform the essential function of the
position or as required by law.
Travel Requirements: • May occasionally require local travel.
Health & Safety:
Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues, and guests (where appropriate), in line
with the Merlin Entertainments Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and the law. Must ensure they follow safe
working procedures for all work activities they undertake, and they must not use any tools or equipment for
which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, must ensure they are reported to their line manager
and cooperate with any investigation as appropriate in accordance with applicable laws
