Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Caretaker for their Southampton estate. This is a full-time, year-round role focused on keeping the property maintained to the highest standards. The family uses the home in the summer months. Responsibilities Perform daily, monthly, and annual routine and preventative maintenance tasks on the estate Schedule and oversee an existing list of vendors. Source and vet new vendors as needed Assist the housekeeping team with tasks such as turning a mattress or moving a chest Happily perform varied duties including filling a bicycle tire, washing a car, going to Costco, assembling a Christmas tree, or changing a lightbulb Occasional trips to NYC to service another residence Qualifications Minimum seven years of experience caring for a private estate Highly organized with a hands-on mentality A deep understanding of the maintenance of a fine home Skilled handyman A meaningful understanding of HVAC, irrigation systems, pools, etc. Technically savvy (Smart home systems, Lutron, Crestron and similar technologies.)
