Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced regional sales manager responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration within a designated region of the United States and work closely with a network of dealers to develop and executive effective sales strategies. The position holds significant responsibility with a primary focus on driving sales, customer field visits, preparing technical proposals, following up on leads, providing product training, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical sales and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales leadership
    • Prospecting for new business.
    • Collaborate with other sales departments, regions, and sales support to support business objectives.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve regional sales targets.
    • Develop and manage a high-performing team of dealer sales representatives within the assigned region to ensure their success and growth.
    • Conduct regular sales meetings and coaching sessions to motivate and engage the sales teams.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Follow up on leads and ensure timely and effective communication with dealers and clients.
    • Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote our products.
    • Prepare and present proposals to dealers and potential clients.
    • Collaborate with various departments and colleagues to develop complex projects and customized solutions for customers.

  • Dealer Support:
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to dealers, including product training, sales techniques, and marketing materials.
    • Conduct regular filed visits to dealers to assess performance, address challenges, and build strong relationships.
    • Assist dealers in preparing proposals, following up on leads, and closing sales.

  • Product expertise:
    • Develop a deep understanding of the company's products offering and technical specifications.
    • Provide technical sales support to dealers and customers as needed.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to educate and engage customers.
    • Provide technical sales expertise to assist dealers in understanding and promoting our products.
    • Conduct on-site visits to customer locations with prospects to explain the process, showcase the equipment, and demonstrate the product.
    • Coordinate plant visits in Europe for customers to view the machines, tour the facility, and attend machine acceptance events. Accompany customers during these visits when necessary.

  • Sales Reporting and Analysis:
    • Track sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Utilize CRM systems to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.

  • Qualifications:
    • Proven track record in sales and business in sales and business development, preferably in the steel fabrication industry.
    • Knowledge of steel fabrication processes such as laser, plasma, drilling, milling, welding, etc.
    • Experience working with a team of sales representatives and/or dealers.
    • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex product specifications.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region, including occasional trips to the plant in Europe for training and customer visits.
    • This position will require extensive travel and face-to-face interaction with our customers, therefore the candidate must have the ability to drive and travel in their region/market, as required.
