We are currently seeking a Safety Officer to join our team in Los Angeles, California (US-CA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking an accomplished and committed Safety Officer to join our team. This role plays a vital part in establishing and maintaining safe working conditions and practices across our multi-site network modernization and refresh initiatives. The Safety Officer ensures strict adherence to national safety standards and legal requirements, including EPA, HUD, and OSHA regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive health and safety plans, collect safety data, and conduct ongoing analysis.
• Establish and implement policies and procedures for risk assessment and mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety policies and laws through regular inspections of personnel and operations.
• Inspect equipment and machinery to identify potential hazards.
• Implement safety measures and deliver safety training programs to staff.
• Investigate workplace incidents to determine causes and manage worker's compensation claims.
• Provide recommendations for improvements, preventive solutions, and innovative safety measures.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to craft site-specific safety programs.
• Lead safety inspections, drills, and other initiatives to monitor and enhance safety outcomes.
• Foster a culture of safety at job sites and support the development and distribution of safety awareness materials throughout the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience relevent to the job description.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience relevant to projects of comparable scope and complexity, specifically focusing on safety assurance.
• Current 30-hour OSHA certification.
• Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) certification.
• CPR certification.
• USEPA Asbestos 16-hour Asbestos Operation and Maintenance (O&M) training.
• OSHA confined space entry training and certification.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
• Residency within commuting distance or willingness to relocate to Los Angeles, CA.
• Possession of all required LA County licenses and certifications relevant to occupational health and safety.

Location

Must reside within commuting distance or be willing to relocate to the Los Angeles, CA area.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $82,192 to $123,288. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. The candidate may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on personal and/or company performance. This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally required benefits.
