Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

Content Strategy & Execution

• Lead the development and execution of content across web, lifecycle, and sales channels—owning the work from brief to delivery.
• Write high-performing content across formats, including landing pages, email flows, paid ads, and sales enablement materials.
• Translate product positioning, brand narratives, and customer insights into clear, compelling copy.
• Apply UX writing principles and SEO best practices to drive clarity, engagement, and conversion.
• Partner with stakeholders to scope content needs, clarify goals, and ensure all work aligns with broader campaign and messaging strategies.

Brand & Creative Collaboration

• Uphold and contribute to the Justworks brand voice across every touchpoint, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
• Collaborate with designers in a content-to-creative workflow to bring narratives to life visually.
• Provide thoughtful, strategic input during creative development and review cycles.
• Co-develop messaging frameworks and content standards that can scale across the org.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Work closely with Growth, Lifecycle, Product Marketing, and Sales to ensure messaging aligns with business objectives and audience needs.
• Partner with customer-facing teams to develop sales collateral and content that supports the full buyer journey.
• Build trust with internal stakeholders by leading content workstreams with clarity, accountability, and results.

Performance & Optimization

• Use data to inform copy decisions—analyzing engagement, conversion, and content heatmaps to iterate and improve content.
• Test and refine messaging across digital surfaces to optimize performance.
• Contribute to campaign retros and cross-functional learnings to improve creative impact over time.

AI-Enhanced Content Efficiency

• Leverage generative AI tools to streamline content workflows, support faster first drafts, and improve self-service content development for internal teams.
• Use AI responsibly, balancing automation with good editorial judgment to ensure our content remains human, helpful, and on-brand.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-assisted content while maintaining high standards for voice, tone, and quality.

How You Will Do Your Work

As a Senior Content Writer, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately results in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal attributes are anchored in the following:

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in content marketing or digital content creation, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments
• Proven ability to write and optimize high-performing content across web, email, sales collateral, and paid channels
• Strong understanding of content strategy, SEO best practices, and UX writing principles
• Demonstrated success in driving engagement, organic traffic, and lead generation through content
• Highly skilled at maintaining and evolving a consistent brand voice across a wide range of content types
• Analytical mindset with experience using performance data to refine and optimize content
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines
• Experience managing freelancers, agencies, or external partners to scale content execution
• Thrives in fast-moving environments with a generalist team structure and evolving priorities
• Excellent communicator and collaborator with a track record of partnering cross-functionally to get work done

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $86,000.00 to $94,600.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
