Job Description

Job Summary

Website analysis, development, planning and implementation, problem solving, user training, and support on required websites.

 

This hybrid position requires on-site work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Job Responsibilities

  • Development and deployment of specialized web applications
  • Research and analyze facilities needed to address application needs
  • Plan implementation of required applications
  • Develop user documentation for the implemented facilities
  • Train users on use of implemented facilities
  • Provide ongoing problem solving and support for implemented facilities
  • Use SEO and accessibility techniques to increase the visibility and diversity of Archdiocesan website properties
  • Assist with graphic designs and design standards for the Archdiocese

Job Requirements

  • Experience using a WordPress specific development platform
  • Experience using a DNN specific development platform helpful
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in web programming (Drupal, .Net, Ruby on Rails, PHP, (x)HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery)
  • Working knowledge of MySQL and MS SQL Server preferably version 2008
  • Preferably experience using command-line Linux administration

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving ability

 

Relationship Requirements:

  • Ability to work with other Web Developers and Software Engineers
  • Frequent status reporting and strategy discussions with supervisor and others as needed.
  • Frequent phone and personal contact with Archdiocesan staff to provide problem solving and support services
