Position Summary:
FlyUSA is seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Flight Crew Scheduler to join our flight department. This critical role is responsible for managing flight schedules, crew assignments, and logistics for aircraft owners, ensuring that every operation is executed seamlessly in compliance with FAA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, a deep understanding of Part 135 operations, and the ability to tackle challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Being located in the Tampa Bay area is highly preferred. However, there is potential for this role to be remote / hybrid.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Crew Scheduling: Assign pilots and crew to flights, ensuring compliance with FAA Part 135 and Part 91 regulations, including duty time and rest requirements.
  • Flight Scheduling: Plan and schedule flights for aircraft owners while aligning with operational needs and customer preferences.
  • Logistics Coordination: Arrange travel and accommodations for crew, including hotels, ground transportation, and other operational logistics as needed. 
  • AOG Recovery Scheduling: Coordinate crews, flights, and resources to resolve Aircraft on Ground situations promptly and minimize downtime.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a strong understanding of FAA Part 135 and Part 91 regulations to ensure operations meet required standards.
  • Communication & Coordination: Serve as a liaison between crew, operations, and aircraft owners to manage schedule updates, changes, and other important information.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively address operational challenges such as delays, cancellations, and resource reallocations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate scheduling records and operational reports for compliance and accountability.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: Strong knowledge of FAA Part 135 and Part 91 regulations is required.
  • Aviation Experience: Previous experience in aviation scheduling, operations coordination, or a related field, preferably in a Part 135 environment.
  • Skills: Proven ability to manage complex schedules and logistics, including AOG recovery situations.
  • Tools: Familiarity with scheduling and operations software; experience with tools like JetInsight is a plus.
  • Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required for operational needs.
  • Customer Service: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Work Eligibility: Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience working in a Part 135 flight department.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with JetInsight or similar aviation scheduling platforms.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve last-minute operational challenges effectively.
